AI Project Development

Sterling Technologies designs and builds AI projects that solve a specific business problem, then ships them as working software. The work covers the model or agent, the data it needs, and the product people actually use.

We start from the outcome you need, then choose the approach that fits: a custom model, a retrieval system over your documents, an automation agent, or an AI feature inside a product you already run. A custom model is only recommended when your data or the task requires one. Many projects are stronger as a careful workflow on a model that already exists.

Most of this work connects to software you already use, rather than living in a separate demo. At the end you get a working system, the code and configuration behind it, and a short guide for running and improving it after we leave.

What this covers

Models and agents

We build the piece that reads, decides, or drafts: a model tuned to your data, an agent that can take a sequence of steps, or a retrieval system that answers from your own documents.

Data and evaluation

We set up the data the system needs and a way to tell whether an answer is good enough. Weak cases are found before launch, not after customers see them.

Product integration

The AI is wired into a screen, an API, or an internal tool your team already opens. People should not have to leave their normal work to use it.

Running it after launch

We leave monitoring, a record of how the system was judged, and notes on how to update prompts, data, or the model when the work changes.

How we work

1. Frame the problem

We agree what the system should do, what a good result looks like, and which data or tools it is allowed to use. That keeps the project tied to a real task.

2. Choose the approach

We pick a model, agent, or retrieval setup that matches the task, the data you have, and the budget. The simpler option is used when it is enough.

3. Build and connect

We implement the AI workflow and connect it to your product, API, or internal tools, including the cases where the system should stop and ask a person.

4. Test and hand over

We measure results against the cases you care about, fix the weak ones, and leave a way to monitor and update the system.

What we deliver

  • A written scope of the AI outcome and the approach
  • A model, agent, or retrieval system built for your data
  • A product interface or API your team can use
  • Evaluation notes, monitoring, and a handover
